Edit!: Due to overwhelming negativity about both the first movie and now Sea of Monsters, I am disabling commentary. This piece was not meant as an insult to the Percy Jackson movie, it was only ever intended as good-natured ribbing at the (admittedly huge) discrepancies between book and movie. Apologies to those who wanted to share their thoughts! I am just very, very tired of seeing "this movie sucked" over and over in my inbox, regardless of how it may or may not be true. Personally, I enjoyed the first movie, and it inspired me to read the book series. The book was really different, but I feel it upheld the spirit of the book, even if it was not true to the plot.
